devadasi is a collaborative ongoing digital writing group. i started it as a way to bring a little aesthetic pleasure into my cubicle-bound working life. it had a previous incarnation as a mailing list on the yahoo! servers. i'm an avid blogger and i thought that a blog was the next natural step for the devadasi.
almost every day, a short poem is published on the devadasi. it is broadcast over cellphones and to this blog via the moblogging feature. all poems are authored by the participants and the list is edited and moderated by me, your balidevata.
