
The first Human Scale Chess Game took place on the lower east side of Manhattan on Sunday May 11, 2003. Chess Champions Women's International Master Jennifer Shahade and International Master Gregory Shahade played an exciting match in the backyard of
ABC No Rio.
That "chess board," brought back memories! My first home in the United States, after having survived the Holocaust in Europe, was located at 204 Eldridge Street, an address which no longer exists. The high school I attended was Seward Park High School, located on the corner of Essex and Grand, with a backdoor on Norfolk.
