This image is one i took at the corners of duboce and steiner streets in san francisco. i was walking back to gretchen's house after a rousing night of drinking with jim. duboce park is lit with sodium lamps as a group of friends walks away from me.

This painting has a portrait of my collaborator covered with several delicate layers of pewter- and gold-colored metallic alkyd paint. eventually (in 50 years or so), the original drawing will come to the surface.
