two years ago, i was invited to participate in a swimming pool show at local williamsburg gallery Open Ground. the curators distributed several snapshots they'd taken of a swimming pool in southern california, and asked the artists to use the images as inspiration. i made two paintings for the show, and this is the one i kept. recently, i noticed how damaged the varnish layer was and decided to retouch it. i ended up just repainting the entire painting.
